As part of the ongoing Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2017, a kayak race named ‘Vuot Song My Khe’ (Journey from the Fall of My Khe Beach) took place on Sunday morning.
It is the 4th time that the race has been held in the city to mark the 42nd anniversary of National Reunification Day (30 April).
The event attracted many young Vietnamese backpacker visitors, about 10 foreign tourists and some Vietnamese overseas. All the participants were divided into over 40 teams.
The teams competed in an about 1.5km race off the My Khe Beach, near the East Sea Park in Son Tra District.
According to the event’s organising board, the race aimed to promote a new exciting water sport in local tourism products amongst both local residents and visitors. Also, it helped to bring a lot of wonderful experiences and memorable moments for visitors during their stays in this beautiful seaside city.
