On the evening of March 11, Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam – Director of Hoi An City Center for Culture, Information and Sports, stated that with the agreement of the Provincial People’s Committee, Hoi An will temporarily suspend selling tickets to visit the Ancient Town and halt performing pedestrian and vehicle-free streets from December 12.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam added that, depending on the situation of the pandemic, to assure safety for people and visitors, the locality will announce the time to bring back these activities.

Earlier, Hoi An also temporarily closed attractions including Cham Island, Bay Mau coconut forest, Thanh Ha pottery village and Tra Que vegetable village.

* In the afternoon of March 11, the local authorities also took 2 French tourists to a concentrated isolation area in Cua Dai ward as they flew on the same flight with the 34th Covid-19 patient who had just moved from Da Lat City (Lam Dong) to Hoi An.
