Within the program “Da Nang – Summer Destination 2015”, last Tuesday night (June 30), Da Nang Bartender Contest 2015 held by Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion at East Sea Park attracted the attention of numerous citizens and tourists.
The contest this year has attracted 25 candidates from different restaurants, resorts, Da Nang Vocational Tourism College and 1 candidate from ThuaThien Hue.
Candidates competed in 2 categories including classic and flair with the evaluation criteria based on preparation skills, formula, balance of flavours, creativity and the freshness of the final product. Besides, flexibility, unique, performing style are also important criteria to achieve high scores from the judges.
At the end of the contest, the 1st prize classic belonged to Ho Anh Tuan from Intercontinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort, 2nd and 3rd prizes belonged to Tran Van Sanh and Nguyen Truong AnhKhoa from Sky 36. Tran Kim Hung from Seventeen Saloon was the winner with the 1st prize flair. 2nd and 3rd prizes have been awarded to Le TrongNghia and Nguyen Thanh Tam fromfrom the Blue Bar. In addition, the 2 consolation prizes belonged to Huynh Van Khanh from Crowne Plaza and Nguyen Dinh Chi from the Reach Center.
The Bartender Contest is an annually event with the purpose of bringing the art of bartender become familiar to the citizens and tourists in Da Nang City, moreover, creating unique cocktails for the beverage diversity. This is also an occasion for bartenders to meet and improve their professional skills.
