On Monday, Chairman of the Viet Nam Olympic Committee Hoang Tuan Anh and the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung co-chaired a meeting to check the preparations for the forthcoming 5th Asian Beach Games.
The main competition venues are now complete, as are the arrangements for accommodating the invited guests and participating athletes and coaches.
In addition, plans have put in place to ensure security and traffic safety at the competition venues and accommodation establishments before and during the event, with a special focus on the ceremonies to hoist the flags of the participating countries, and the opening and closing ceremonies.
Also at the meeting, musician Quang Vinh, the Director of the Viet Nam National Music and Dance Theatre, presented a detailed plan for the opening ceremony.
Chairman Anh made some suggestions for the plan and asked musician Vinh to perfect it as soon as possible.
For his part, Vice Chairman Dung urged the event’s Reception Sub-board to make detailed plans for welcoming the Vietnamese State and Party leaders and international invited guests. He suggested that some large screens should be installed in local districts in order to allow locals to watch the international games.
